All of the Wolf Tree snails are Milk snails (Otala lactea). Milk snails are terrestrial, air-breathing snails that live in humid environments. The snails at Wolf Tree Wilderness Therapy eat fruits and vegetables and their favorite foods are apples, delicata squash, soaked oatmeal, spinach, carrots, and the occasional cucumber treat. Milk snails are nocturnal, meaning that they are mostly active at night. Milk snails have a long snail-life and often live for up to 10-12 years.
